Meet Ekaterina on
the left (Bulgarian for Katherine) and Jules on the right. Both live in the UK.
Ekaterina emigrated to London from Bulgaria 17 years ago and now works in
marketing for whom else but Amazon! It was surreal talking to her about the
value of Amazon Prime in the waiting room of the Ninh Binh railway station. She
also said she wouldn’t recommend going to Bulgaria except for the rural areas
that can be beautiful.
Jules was an architect from Bristol. Her passion was exploring nature so it
wasn’t surprising that these two women were headed to the Phong Nha Ke Bang
National Park while we were headed for our DMZ experience from Dong Ha as a
base.
